The washing up facilities were also fantastic and clean – no manky sink and slimy bowl here – everything shone! There was also a fridge and freezer that you could use if you needed to and a washing machine which was £3 per load. No tumble dryer but we had fab weather so I didn’t miss one!Shane and Bonnie clearly care about this site very much and this was apparent in the fact that Shane doesn’t appear to ever stop working! They pop around frequently to make sure everything is ok and nothing is too much trouble – from helping you to move a picnic table (provided on site, just move to your pitch) to recommendations for restaurants or beaches, they truly deserve to have great success with this site. Firepit hire is very reasonable at £25 for the duration your stay, with logs coming in at £5 per bag and kindling at £3 per bag – both bags are big enough for several days use, and having a fire is a perfect end to a perfect day on this gorgeous site in beautiful Wales. Pitch sizes are enormous – our Berghaus Air 6xl and air porch plus picnic bench, washing line thingy, fire pit and car all fit on with plenty of room to spare Be prepared to make some new furry friends – Sam and Ben are the friendliest dogs you’ll ever meet and they love to meet new people who might just throw a stick for them!I 100% recommend Church House Farm Getaways – it’s a bit like Mary Poppins, practically perfect in every way!(There’s also a rather wonderful wellness centre on site – if you have trouble relaxing, do try the sound bath. Our 1st caravan experience and we loved it here, lovely view and owners are lovely and friendly. There's a dog walking path where you can let your dog off his lead. Shower block and kitchen. They are building a shop and reception we would definitely return.

Toilets and showers are always clean and well kept. The site itself is also always clean and well looked after. We booked to stay for 2 weeks, at the end of the two weeks we didn't want to go home and asked if we could book for another two weeks, Bonnie was brilliant and checked her availability straight away. We were able to stay longer. 4 weeks at this campsite and it really wasn't long enough. We didn't want to go home. They have ducks and geese on the land which my 4 year old loved as we were able to feed them any left over bread. My 4 children were able to come and go to the caravan as they pleased as we were sighted right next to the park. Older kids do tend to play out on the park until very late at night but this never bothered us as they are there to enjoy themselves and have fun. If you don't like noise late at night then you can always as Bonnie or Shane for a pitch away from the park area and I'm sure they will try their best to accommodate that. All campers are really friendly and everyone got along. Children of all ages from various pitches became friends and spent their days running wild just as kids should. There is also so much to do around in the local area, many places are just a short drive away. It was a very relaxing holiday and we will definitely be staying again in the future. I don't think I would ever go anywhere else. Thank you Bonnie and Shane for having us for so long. Oh and we cant forget to thank Mia, Ben and Sam too! See you again soon! Liked: The facilities were excellent and very clean. It’s within easy driving distance to shops, a lovely beach , woodland walks and the Wales Coastal Path. Handy dog walk route on site for safe early morning and last thing at night pooch walk.

Only one night – unfortunately, but long enough to appreciate a very good facility and the super helpful Boris. Sanitation block seems brand new and well thought out. Expect to be back some time.

Our 6month old puppy came with us and there are 2 enclosed fields to choose from to exercise him (brilliant). Electric and water all in easy reach of all pitches. The children loved the park and there are open fields for everyone to enjoy and the geese kept our children entertained for hours! Everyone was so friendly,…it felt like a little close knit community and the owners couldn’t do enough for their campers.

We unfortunately had torrential rain during our visit which resulted in our tent becoming useless. Not only did Bonnie and Shane continuously check in on us, when it became evident that the tent wasn’t going to keep us safe during the night and subsequently collapsed in on us(!!) they set their guest bedroom up for us. Nothing was too much for these two. They made us feel so welcome and not a hindrance at all. They went as far as making us and our children breakfast the following morning. I don’t think we’ll ever be able to thank them enough but hopefully our return will prove how much their actions that night meant to us. We can’t wait to see you both again soon! read less

The tents are behind a natural screen to act as a buffer as the campsite is on top of a hill. It is dog friendly which we needed. The empty tent site behind us was ideal for throwing a ball for our dog. Tight lane to access which is always a concern in a large mobile home but it was very easy for us. read less

Nice and close to amenities but far enough away to not be disturbed by traffic or light pollution.Disliked: Website states there are no gazebos allowed yet whilst we were there several families/groups pitched one up without anyone coming over to tell them they weren’t allowed.The lay-by stated in the email to pull into if towing a caravan or a large motor home and ring to check lane was clear wasn’t really labelled in any way it just looked like a tractor pull in/entrance to a field. read less

Excellent We stayed here for one night on our way to Fishguard. The owners are so welcoming and friendly, the pitches are large and excellently maintained. The facilities are fantastic and super clean – we will definitely be back.

Site was full as it was Easter but as its a small site it wasn't noisy at all and people were very friendly with each other and respecting the quiet times. It’s not fully finished yet they had only been reopen 11 weeks when we stayed after a 5 year closure by the previous owners but they have done an amazing job on the caravan pitches and the facilities. Extremely bumpy ground with ruts & a slight incline so not good manoeuvring in wet weather. A sanitary disposal would be good in the showers as not nice walking into items on show in the bin. The owners dog runs around & approaches everyone including taking a ball from children playing which had them crying & another person had to pick their dog up and away from him. This is a bit scary for some people. read less

Shane and Bonnie are such lovely people and so welcoming. We are a large family of 6 children and they absolutely loved the play park, seeing the ducks, taking a stroll around the dog walking area and playing endless games on the field in front of the tent pitches. The site has toilets/showers, a kitchen with sink, communal fridge and freezer and sockets to charge your phone. We had electric hook up and enjoyed a BBQ on the slabs that they provide for you. The site is perfect as a base because it is not far from local attractions and 10 minutes from the beach. I am already looking forward to staying again and would definitely recommend this site to people. Keep up the great work guys 😊 read less

Stayed there with all the family at the end of July. Nice pay area for the children and dog friendly. What a great find a lovely little place, spotless site, showers and loos. What lovely people that run it happy to help and even have time to stop and chat.

The site is well positioned and has all the facilities we needed, which were in first class condition.
The site is well kept and the team works hard to ensure it’s always at its best.
Unfortunately we had to depart early on the day of departure, but Shane was on hand to wish us well on our journey, despite the wind rain and early start.
Without doubt we will visit again.

The pitches are large and well maintained and the fresh duck eggs given to us by Bonny were a nice treat! Everything about our stay was perfect and we did not want to leave so we will be booking up for our summer holiday there shortly. The location is perfect for visiting Carmarthen and the beautiful beaches of Llansteffan. It is also ideal for visiting folly farm, Oakwood and Tenby. read less

The site is level ish fully serviced pitches nice and wide with good markings. Toilet block very clean and warm shower powerful and hot. On Saturday morning Bonnie dropped some just laid duck eggs we had them with gammon very nice all in all a fantastic site with lovely people we will be returning and recommending. Lovely location, beautiful views & only 10 minutes drive from Carmarthen- we did the mountain walk the path was very bumpy and not pram friendly, also it didn’t lead to anywhere really, brilliant for dog walkers not so good for little legs and wheels- however that being said we did we enjoy! Small park on site, the children enjoyed this and used it all weekend. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed (even in the rain) and would definitely stay here again!Disliked: Could have more shower blocks and toilets- As the shower and the toilets are in one cubicle there were a queue for these at peak times. But this wouldn’t put us off staying again! read less

Every morning at 5 the toilets, showers and kitchen are cleaned and checked again any number of times every day. The grass gets cut regularly and Bonnie, owner, comes around every day to ask if everything is OK and have a chat. On my last day she came specially to say goodbye when she had go to out before I left. Such a lovely gesture!My dog and cat also had a really good time at the camping. They could walk around by themselves and I took the dog round the dog walk – about half a mile long – several times a day, often accompanied by the cat. The first day I had them on leads in harnesses, but that turned out to not be necessary, so they roamed free.Another plus is that the camping, while not really remote, is situated well away from the main road, so it's relatively quiet – apart from kids of all ages. And if you want to go among some more people, shops or events, then Carmarthen town is only a few miles up the road. The indoor market is very nice with a good choice of different types of things for sale, including a lovely butcher where they mince the meat for you as you order it! And for food shopping there is a large Tesco Extra and a Lidl. I think there is also a Morrisons but I haven't been there. So plenty of options for those type of things.Other options are various beaches and sights to visit. I'll be going back next year to visit places I didn't get to see this time around. All in all I heartily recommend this camping. read less

Owners are amazing, polite, and very attentive.During our visit, there were two small issues, on one of frist nights, teenagers were playing some family games, outside and being generally loud until past 1am, owner talked to them next day. No issues with them again at all. Week after, there were again a party one night, by some other, larger group of people. We haven't got to say anything, as this has been sorted by the owners at the time straight away.Site very children friendly, we came with 3kids and they were running and having fun for those, nearly 2 weeks all the time. Just once, been intimidated by some older (10+ )kids group, throwing water balloons, turning on taps and not turning them back off and throwing water on non participating they play, kids. One of mine came back in tears being soaked thru. And I was cleaning some water balloons leftovers, left by the tap next to our tent. Again, before I had a chance to track this down, this has been attended by the owners and sorted out. Same group of kids where damaging some bushes, and my eldest came to complain, she wasn't feeling good, being on playground, because of those older kids. But again, owners managed to sort this out and made our, and other kids feel welcome and safe to play.In general, we felt very safe and well looked after. Good facilities. Well maintained site, really nice playground. Large pitches. Highly recommended for a family holiday. read less

It is a bit dark on site in the evening but a powerful torch sorts that out ! We loved the ducks and dogs ! Unfortunately it rained a fair bit when we were there but I should imagine it would be great for stargazing on a clear night. Hiring a fire pit from Bonnie and Shane was a brilliant idea. The site is child friendly and Sam and Ben (the resident dogs) were a big hit. The individual spacious toilet/shower cubicles are a great idea, heated towel rail, seat, hooks to hang clothes and a mop to clean up afterwards (better than most home en-suites) Remember to bring £1 for 5 minutes shower, although Bonnie has change if needed. .There is a coin operated washing machine as well as fridge and freezer in the warm washing up room.

A gorgeous clear night enabled us to spend a lovely evening around the fire pit star gazing and the icing on the cake was the rising, full flower moon.

A wonderful weekend and I’d thoroughly recommend this family friendly site but if you’re a dog owning couple of campers who don’t like listening to the happy, excitable laughter of children having adventures in this safe park then I suggest an adults only site would be best for you. read less

Wonderful views, spotless facilities, an amazingly warm welcome but this almost pales into insignificance when compared with the outstanding service we have just received from the owner who repaired our damaged corner steady. The grounds are really beautiful, there’s a fantastic dog walking path that loops the lower fields. 🐩🐕🦮 One of our dogs can be a little reactive and the owners beautiful dog keeps strolling over to say hi, so if you have a reactive dog keep that in mind and keep your on a lead or strong dog pin 😁 I will do a honest TikTok review after our stay. Piping hot shower for a £1. The ducks were friendly and the reward for sharing my supper was a cheeky peck!Disliked: Nothing.

From arriving, Shane (owner) greeted us and showed us around, he was lovely and extremely helpful even offering to help us pitch up our tent. We also met Bonnie (owner) who showed us the dog walking path which is brilliant. The path goes behind the pitches, passing Bonnie’s geese and ducks and then through to a few fields where the dog can safely run around off the lead. The facilities were clean, modern and smelt great as they were regularly cleaned and restocked. I have never felt so comfortable showering on a campsite. Also pitches are generous sizes and there is a picnic bench by most pitches. Would not hesitate to return, very lucky to have found this site. You can evidently see a lot of time and effort has gone into getting the campsite back up and running. Thank you! read less

Its location is just off the main road, so easy to get to other places but it feels so serene with just fields and hills to surround you. There's a very safe, friendly and chilled atmosphere. The facilities are spotless. Pitches are generous in size. Everything has been thought through, to the park for the children, places for the dogs to run and you're even able to buy some freshly layed duck eggs 😋 VERY minor hiccup with electricity but Shane and Bonnie worked very quick to resolve this problem! We have had the very best time. The campsite is immaculate, the owners Bonnie and Shane have gone out of their way to ensure all campers have the best camping experience from a brand new toilet block which is cleaned twice daily and replenished with toilet roll and hand wash. The grass is cut short to allow you to relax outside your tent. Shane provided us with a picnic bench which arrived on his tractor as soon as we arrived and he was on hand to assist us with putting our tent up if required. The children’s play area is clean, safe and within easy access to all campers. We had the pleasure of letting the geese and ducks out of their pen on some mornings which was great fun. I had a sound bath from the campsites holistic therapist/handyman Dave which was amazing and I had the best night sleep afterwards. Dave also leant us knives, glasses and other utensils that we had forgotten to bring. Nothing was too much and considering we hadn’t been camping for a few years and weren’t sure if it was the right decision to start back we have no doubt that we made the right decision. I recommend to any camper especially with children if your looking for a 5* experience in a safe clean child friendly site within easy access to lots of places such as Tenby, Saundersfoot, Llansteffan, folly farm look no further. We’ve booked two additional weeks for the summer and can’t wait to return. Church house farm for a long time has needed passionate owners that are willing to create a great camping experience for anyone that visits. There was also a small kitchen area in this block with sink, fridge, freezer and I think, washing machine. I found the owners to be extremely friendly and helpful and easy to talk to. The site is dog friendly with a large dog walking area. The owners are in the process of building a brand new shop and office on site. The camping pitches are well defined and maintained with LED lights on the roadways making walking at night a doddle.Disliked: I haven't camped in many a year and am completely out of touch with modern camp site fees. I had a single tent without hookup and was charged £20 per night in August, which seemed to me to be a trifle high. Perhaps this is the standard fee these days but it certainly didn't detract from the overall pleasure in staying on this site. read less
